Tara Tovarek

Tara’s mother is from an island in the Philippines, and her father is from a small farm in South Dakota. She was born in San Francisco and raised in Duluth, MN. Tara began her film career in Atlanta loading trucks and building 4-wire banded at PC&E (a camera, lighting and grip warehouse). When she moved to Los Angeles, she worked as the personal assistant to Harrison Ford, and later for Sugar Ray Leonard. Los Angeles opened up many doors for Tara sending her to Budapest for “A Good Day to Die Hard” and Montreal for “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
Tara has also worked on projects that include: Supervising Line Producer of all branded-content, commercials, and live events at Vice Media in Brooklyn; Coordinator for Anne Meara’s tribute on Broadway at the Eugene O’Neill theatre; Production Supervisor with New Line on Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman”; and Head of Production for Buffalo 8 New Mexico. As a graduate of Second City, Tara often writes sketch and directs theatre. She has homes in both Santa Fe, NM and Atlanta, GA. And, she loves to escape to Europe.
